From Hobby to Shop: A 12-Week Photography-to-Etsy Cohort

Turn your photography into a real, sellable product line – with a cohesive Etsy shop tht tells your story your way, and 10 live listings by graduation, built to convert viewers into buyers.

You’ve been taking photographs for years. You know your work is good. And somewhere in the back of your mind, you’ve wondered whether you could actually sell it.

The answer is yes. But knowing where to start, what to list, how to price it, and how to set up a shop that actually gets found – that’s where most photographers get stuck.

This 12-week programme takes you from “I don’t even know where to begin” to a live, properly set-up Etsy shop with 10 real listings, step-by-step, alongside a small group of photographers doing exactly the same thing.

A Structured 12-Week Journey – Three Clear Phases

No jumping in at the deep end. No overwhelming content dumps. Just a clear, phased programme that builds one step at a time – so by the end, you don’t just have knowledge.

You have a shop!

Month 1: Discover

Get clear before you create.

Before you list a single thing, you need to know what you’re selling, who you’re selling it to, and what makes your work stand out in a crowded marketplace.

In month 1 we focus entirely on this foundation. By the end of this phase you’ll know:

  • Your niche – the specific type of photography that has real commercial appeal on Etsy.
  • Your ideal buyer – who they are, what they’re looking for, and how they search
  • Your unique angle – what makes your work different and worth buying.

Most photographers skip this phase entirely. It’s the reason most shops don’t sell.

Month 2: Strategise

Build a product mix that’s profitable and realistic

Once you know what you’re selling and to whom, we build your range. This isn’t about picking your best photos – it’s about designing a product line that works together, at prices that reflect your value and convert.

In month 2 you’ll work through:

  • Print sizes, formats, and finishes – what to offer and why
  • Whether originals belong in your shop alongside prints
  • Pricing your work with confidence – using the Photography Pricing Calculator to know your numbers.
  • Building a product mix that’s manageable to product and profitable to sell.

By the end of this phase you’ll have your full product range planned and ready to list.

Month 3: Launch

Set up your shop properly and go live

This is where it all comes together. We build your Etsy shop from the ground up – properly, with the right foundations – and publish your first listings.

In month 3 you’ll:

By the end of the 12 weeks, you”ll have a real Etsy shop – not a plan, not a draft. A live shop.

What’s Included

  • Live group calls and workshops. A mix of live sessions throughout the 12 weeks – kept deliberately light-touch so most of the work happens at your own pace, in your own time. Replays included for everything.
  • A digital workbook. Your step-by-step guide through the whole programme. Set out in clear sections so you always know exactly what to do next.
  • A private community space. A dedicated space for your cohort – to share your work, ask questions, get feedback, and celebrate wins alongside photographers on the same journey. Small, intentional, and genuinely supportive.
  • A cohort of no more than 10 photographers. Deliberately small. `this isn’t a course with hundreds of students and zero community. There is a maximum of 10 spaces per cohort – so you get real support, real feedback, and real connection.

This is for you if ….

  • You’re a photographer with work worth selling – but you haven’t started yet.
  • You’ve thought about Etsy but don’t know where to begin or whether it’s right for you.
  • You want a structured programme – not another course you buy and never finish.
  • You want to do this alongside other photographers, not alone
  • Your ready to commit 12 weeks to building something real.

This isn’t for you if …

xYou’re already selling successfully on Etsy and want to scale (The Etsy shop Audit or 1:1 working with me might be a better fit)

xYou’re looking for a quick fix or overnight results

xYou’re not ready to show up, do the work, and go live.

Your Questions, Answered

When does the cohort start?

The start date hasn’t been confirmed yet – joining the waitlist is the best way to be first to know. Waitlist members will receive full details.

How much time do I need each week?

The programme is designed to be manageable alongside a busy life. Live calls are kept deliberately light-touch – most of the work happens at your own pace using the phased workbook. Expect to dedicate a few hours each week.

Do I need any Etsy experience?

None at all. This programme is designed for photographers who are starting from scratch. If you’ve never opened an Etsy account, this is the right place to begin.

What kind of photography does this work for?

Any fine art or decorative photography – landscapes, seascapes, botanicals, abstracts, urban, nature. If it’s the kind of image someone would hang on their wall, it belongs on Etsy.

What if I can’t make a live call?

Replays will be available for all live sessions, so you won’t miss anything if life gets in the way.

What happens after the 12 weeks?

You’ll have a live Etsy shop with 10 listings – and the knowledge to keep building it. If you want ongoing support after the cohort, the Etsy Shop Audit and 1:1 Mentoring are the natural next steps.

Are you ready?

Your Photography Deserves to Be Seen – and Sold.

You’ve already done the hard part. You’ve built the skills, developed the eye, and created the work. The shop is the next step.
